Meet Destiney Sutton, AmeriCorps President for the 2023/2024 Program Year

My major is in Mass Communication (Broadcasting) I joined AmeriCorps to help the community, meet new people, and put myself in positions that I usually wouldn’t on a normal basis. My favorite thing about service is knowing no matter what site I’m at I’ll always be making a difference. I hope to gain a better understanding and knowledge of being a true leader. |

Major: Biology (pre medicine concentration)Why AmeriCorps? I chose to join AmeriCorps to be able to help the community that I have always called my home. I want to make an impact on my community and this organization drew my attention! Favorite thing about service? The impact that is being made even if it is small, it contributes to the bigger picture. Hope to gain? I hope to gain connections between my peers as well as leaders in this community. I hope to one day be a leader in my community and this is my first step towards those goals. |
